A slideshow that goes through how offspring can have genes from both parents. Includes discussion of dominant vs recessive and goes through a Punnett Square for hair colour. This material assumes the basics of reproduction have been covered previously.

Suggestions for use: Use after the basics of human reproduction have been covered to teach students how genes are passed on from parents to offspring and how characteristics of offspring are decided. This slideshow sets up the students to move onto evolution and natural selection.
