Any appropriate website URL can be uploaded to Scoilnet.
In terms of actual files, we currently accept the following file types:
Each file should be no more than 50MB in size.
No, right now each resource in Scoilnet is linked to one object (one file or one URL). So, if for example you have a worksheet and a lesson plan as two files, it might be best to create a single file before you upload to Scoilnet. Otherwise they would need to be uploaded as two separate resources. However, there is a slight exception to this general rule when talking about a different language version of the same resource. See the next question.
When it comes to language versions, you can in fact upload two files as part of one resource. But it must be exactly the same resource in a different language. Upload one version of the resource first, then click on the ‘Add a translation’ link on your Dashboard where you can add translated text for it and append another file.
We want Scoilnet to be a healthy, positive environment for teachers to share their resources so we kindly ask that you show respect for your fellow teachers and for the broader educational community by following our terms and conditions which outline the kind of content that can be uploaded. We would also ask that you are respectful of Scoilnet contributors and their resources, even if you disagree with something.
To register for a Scoilnet Account you will need to have a Teaching Council number and a roll number for your school in Ireland.
If you already have a Scoilnet Account then you can sign in here.
A Scoilnet account will allow you to upload your resources or weblinks to Scoilnet as well as enabling you to share and add resources to a favourites listing. Users who have a Scoilnet Account will also be able to fully access Scoilnet Maps and Census@School from home.
