Danescastle NS
Carrig-on-Bannow, Co. Wexford

Congratulations to Danescastle N.S. of Carrig on Bannow, Co. Wexford for winning Scoilnet's Star Site award! Danescastle National School's website is up to date, well maintained and has a clear and easy to navigate layout. Users are able to navigate the website via a dropdown tab menu across the top of the each page. Visitors to the homepage are greeted by a group photo of the school's pupils as well as a search box for both the school website and Scoilnet.

The website's About Us tab contains important information such as School Policies, Board of Management information, Whole School Evaluation details and contact information for the school. Each class in Danescastle N.S. is given their own dedicated section under the Pupil's Area tab. Each class page contains photos and information on all the hard work that is being done by both the teachers and pupils such as learning about the life cycle of the butterfly, traditional tales and procedural writing as well as creating Picasso faces, wonderful weaves and elegant stain glass windows and conducting experiments.

The school's website also contains a Parent's Area which contains very useful information on Bannow Parent's Council, booklist's for the year and school holidays as well as a section on Internet Safety. We are also delighted to see that Scoilnet appears in their useful links section! Danescastle's site also highlights the wide range of extra-curricular activities available in the school such as debating, GAA and participation in the Peace Proms choir.

Danescastle National School's website is well maintained, up to date and is an invaluable resource for parents and pupils alike. Well done!
