The first thing that strikes any visitor to the Holy Family's website is the school's crest with the motto 'Honesty, Integrity, Justice, Respect and Selfworth'. The homepage banner also contains a photo slider that shows various teams, classes and activities throughout the school. The homepage is an excellent layout with six navigation tabs containing further dropdown options. The homepage also contains a news feed with items ordered from newest to oldest.
Holy Family SNS provide an extensive section for parents on their website containing a wealth of information on topics such as book lists, enrolment, parent's association, school policies and uniforms. The About Us section contains information on the school such as contact details, staff, mission statement and the board of management. This section also contains an extensive account of the history of the school including when the school was built and how in 2006, the school replaced all their blackboard with interactive ones!
Each class has their own dedicated section on the website which showcases the pupils' activities and lessons such as making memory lights, music in 4th class, 5th class trip to Glór and a 3rd class trip to Milanos!
The Project/Events section of the website has information on the extensive initiatives that taking place in the school throughout the year such as the Peace Proms 2019, Yellow Flag, Active Flag, Green School's and Sport in the school. There is also a section on ICT Initiatives and the school which details how the school is integrating digital technologies into the everyday learning of the pupils through programmes such as Word, PowerPoint and Hyperstudio.
Holy Family Senior National School's website is well maintained, kept up to date and is easy to navigate. The site reflects the hard work and dedication of the staff, pupils and parents and the welcoming and inclusive atmosphere within the school. Well done on winning Scoilnet's Star Site award!
