St Joseph's N.S.
Rathdonnell, Co. Donegal

Well done to St Joseph’s N.S. of Rathdonnell, Co. Donegal for winning Scoilnet’s Star Site award! St Joseph’s is a two teacher school located on the outskirts of Letterkenny. The school has a very proud past and this is displayed prominently on the homepage of the school’s website with photos of past and present and a synopsis of the school’s history.

St Joseph’s website is up to date, well maintained and has a clear and easy to navigate layout. Visitors to the website are greeted with information on events in the school as well as important information for parents such as the school calendar and useful websites on how parents can support their child’s learning.

The school has a whole section on their website dedicated to Science and Nature Lessons. In this section, there are pictures and details of all the experiments being conducted by the pupils in area’s such as Air and Flying, Light Mirrors and The Eye and Making an Electromagnet. This section of the website is an excellent catalogue of all the hard work being done by the pupils and teachers.

St Joseph’s website also has an excellent Gallery section which contains high definition photos of all the various activities at the school such as Math’s Week, Geography Map Work and Seachtain na Gaeilge. All the photos in this section can be enlarged and the site uses photo sliders to display the pictures to great effect.

Other areas of the website highlight the school’s achievements in Visual Arts, Sports and being awarded the Green Flag. St. Joseph’s website is well maintained, up to date and is an invaluable resource for parents and pupils alike. Well done!
