Congratulations to St Brigid's National School of Singland, Co. Limerick for winning Scoilnet's Star Site award!

St Brigid's National School's website has a simple design based on a blog style format with the latest news and events embedded right into the home page. The homepage includes an embedded calendar which makes informing parents and pupils of school events very easy. There is also an embedding Twitter feed which is another excellent means of communicating with the school community and the wider world. There are five navigation tabs with drop-down menus at the top of the page which make navigating the site extremely easy.

The first tab in the navigation bar is Our School. The drop-down menus contain information on the ethos of the school, the board of management, the school's history, parent's association and school policies. This navigation tab also contains a Gallery which is populated with high resolution photographs of various school outings and activities.

The Resources tab contains a wealth of information for pupils and parents. There is a dedicated parents tab that has information on how to help their children with schoolwork as well as information on literacy and numeracy. The Classes tab has details the various goings on in each class such as science experiments and Maths lessons.

It's easy to see from St Brigid's National School's website that there is a huge emphasis on environmental awareness and care in the school. The Environment tab on the website has information on the Green Schools programme, biodiversity and outings such as nature walks. There is also a big emphasis on extra-curricular activities such as GAA, Cooking Club, Soccer and Rugby.

St Brigid's National School's site has a nice simple design with an easy to navigate layout and is an excellent point of contact between parents, pupils and the school. Well done on winning Scoilnet's Star Site Award!
