St Raphaela’s Primary School

St Raphaela’s Primary School
Stillorgan, Co. Dublin

Congratulations to St Raphaela's P.S. for being awarded Scoilnet.ie Star Site. The school's website is very well laid out with good use of colour and space. The site is regularly updated and is very easy to navigate. The homepage contains a photo slider which takes up the entire background with high quality photos of events and activities that are happening in the school. A regularly updated twitter feed for the school is embedded on the bottom right hand side of the homepage and below that are buttons with links to their Facebook, Twitter and YouTube accounts.

The homepage includes the school's motto of "Nurturing minds to think, hands to create, hearts to love." This ethos of a balanced and rounded education is reflected in the various sections of the website such as the Parents tab, which includes up to date information on activities and the After School Activities section. The school also partakes in a wide range of sports such as tennis, swimming, athletics, camogie and hockey.

The school has an easy to follow calendar which is colour coded to highlight each term. The site also contains a Principal's Blog which contains a newsletter and information about upcoming events. The school has a News tab containing up to date photos and information on activities in the school such as Seachtain na Gaeilge, Engineer's Week and Safer Internet Day.

This a very simple and straight forward website that is well maintained, up to date and provides invaluable information to parents, pupils and the community about the school's achievements and activities. Well done!
