UCD Maths Support Centre

UCD Maths Support Centre in conjunction with the UCD Access Support Centre created the following collection of resources for Leaving Certificate Mathematics students. The videos and accompanying PDF were designed for both the Higher and Ordinary Level Mathematics course.

Algebra

This particular collection provides a platform for students to become a more self-directed learner in Section 4 - Algebra by focusing on expressions, solving equations, inequalities and complex numbers.

Functions

This collection emphasis the relationship between functions and algebra. The videos will continue to connect graphical and symbolic representations of functions. You will also be introduced to the study of calculus. Calculus is the study of how things change and use derivatives to solve various kinds of real-world problems.

Maths Spark - Resources

The School of Mathematics and Statistics, in conjunction with UCD Access & Lifelong Learning and the College of Science, runs a series of extra-curricular mathematics workshops for senior cycle post-primary students.

The Maths Spark workshop material is freely available to download. These booklets might be a useful resource for teachers running a Maths Clubs in their school or for those who are teaching extra-curricular content, such as to Transition Year students.
