Hello and thank you for taking interest in this series. My name is Gráinne McKeever and I am a PhD student at the School of Sociology in University College Dublin. I am also a secondary school art teacher, with interests in theatre, comedy and the arts.
I decided to create this series of podcasts as a way to say “thank you” to the teachers and students of Politics and Society who very kindly took part in my PhD research. This series is dedicated to them.
I would also like to say a big thank you to the sixteen academics who were so generous with their time and experience in the making of this series. As well as thanking the PDST for supporting this work and making it available to teachers and students through Scoilnet.
I hope this series and resource pack will be of help to anyone who uses them. And perhaps might inspire some future philosophers, whether in the fields of law, politics, sociology, economics, anthropology, or at the very least give you some interesting food for thought.
