PE at home is a collaboration between the Dublin City University, the Professional Development Service for Teachers and the Irish Heart Foundation. These videos can be used to support strand based learning in PE at home. We hope that you will be able to take part in and enjoy this lesson as part of your daily physical activity along with other members of your household.
Researchers from DCU are evaluating the PE at Home lesson series so that content can be improved, and a viable solution to what is likely to be a longer term issue, can be delivered for teachers, parents and children. When children return to school in September, should social distancing restrictions remain in place and the very nature of PE at school renders it difficult to deliver, there may be the likelihood that there will remain a need in our primary schools for these lessons well into the next academic year. Therefore investigating the efficacy of PE at Home lessons is paramount. To this end we are asking teachers and parents to complete a short 5-7 minute survey available at the links below to help us with this task.
