This resource should enable a child to:

  • recognise that each person has an important contribution to make to the life of the community
  • suggest ways of helping other people at home, in school and in the local community

Suggestions for use: Show the video to the class to simply explain where bananas come from. Have children colour the Fairtrade logo or pictures of fairtrade foods like chocolate and tea/coffee. Children could collect or look out for the Fairtrade logo on items in shops.
