Suggestions for use: Print poster and hang on wall. Whenever you see a mini-beast in the classroom, ask the class to name the mini-beast. Alternatively, give pupils a poster between four. Pupils must search for the mini-beasts outside in your school habitat. Rule: Do not touch the mini-beasts.
o observe, identify and investigate the animals and plants that live in local environments
o become aware of some of the basic life processes in animals
o sort and group living things into sets according to observable features

The students make or identify a habitat in the school grounds and investigate what lives there. Focus on minibeasts (ants, spiders and other creepy-crawlies!)
