The website contains a video clip of a reading of a poem and an audio clip containing vox pops where members of the public give their reactions to the poem.
This website can be used in conjunction with the worksheet on 'A Christmas Childhood' available on the Scoilnet website.

Suggestions for use: The video clip of a young boy reading the poem could be shown to engage students during their first and second readings of the poem. Having explored the poem in some detail, students could listen to the vox pop audio clip and discuss in pairs whether or not their reactions to the poem are similar to the reactions of the members of the public speaking in the vox pop.
This web resource can also be used in conjunction with the Scoilnet worksheet on the poem.
