The Oide website www.oide.ie will be used to keep teachers informed of the most recent information regarding the implementation of the specification and the details of upcoming supports as they are offered.

This section of the Scoilnet website provides teachers with access to the support material used by Oide at their CPD events. To register for an upcoming Oide event, visit the Oide Economics Page.

    The focus of this webinar centres on the components of sustainable development carefully mapped to the Leaving Certificate Economics Specification and looks at how the study of economics can help assist sustainable development into the future.  Dr Lisa Ryan, Assistant Professor of Energy Economics, School of Economics UCD presents a useful toolkit to assess sustainable development with particular emphasis on

School Support Visits

The PDST school support service is available to all teachers of Economics whereby an advisor can be requested to visit the school and work with teachers on site in relation to supporting the implementation of the new specification. This service depends on the capacity of the team and may not be available for every school in the country. To avail of school based support for Economics: Follow this link to PDST online form.
