Animated GIFs

A GIF is a soundless video that loops continuously

  • GIFs can be used on whiteboards, tablets, computers and projectors to provide a demonstration to pupils within PE.

  • GIFs can be embedded within presentations easily and can also be used to support remote live PE lessons.

  • GIFs provides a repeated visual of activity to be undertaken which the pupils can refer back to autonomously at different points in the lesson.

  • GIFs may free up the teacher to engage further with students in the lesson.

  • Teachers should consider what further instruction or demonstration may be required in addition to the use of GIFs within the PE lesson.
