Essay on the life of the man who was the priest in a Tipperary parish (diocese of Cashel and Emly) for 40 years. He was a renowned patriot, nationalist, Irish language enthusiast and supporter of small tenant farmers.
This essay was a winning entry from Scoil Mhuire Chnoc a' Bhile in the ‘Decade of Centenaries’ All-Island Schools History Competition 2014 organised jointly by the Departments of Education in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
