150 Years of Alice in Wonderland - In Pictures

Added: 10 Jul 2015 Contributor: Scoilnet Resource type: Guide/notes

A Guardian special to commemorate the publishing of Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. The book was first published in 1865 and the Guardian has re-produced some of the famous illustrations by John Tenniel from that publication, including the King and Queen of Hearts, the Knave of Hearts, the Flamingo and Cheshire-Puss.

How it maps to the curriculum

3-4
English

Strand: Reading

Suggestions for use: While this is not the actual book, the illustrations can be enlarged and they could form the basis for a class discussion after the children have read the book.
