Content objective: This resource should enable a child to:
- become aware of the dangers of sunlight for skin and eyesight
- begin to understand the influence of the sun on weather and atmospheric conditions
- investigate shadows, directions and sunlight
- understand the importance of sunlight for plants and animals
Suggestions for use: This site is a treasure trove of resources. There are useful sections which are suitable for whole class teaching on the IWB. This site is a great source of information for school based projects. It is suitable for individual, pair and group work also.
