An article explaining the instructions behind this clever and easy to make giraffe paper plate. There are images to accompany instructions so that students can view visually to understand the steps involved.

Content objective:
This resource should enable a child to:

  • discover colour, pattern and rhythm in colourful objects

Suggestions for use: Print out the step-step visual images of instructions. Ask students to put then in order of what you would do first, second, third and fourth. Demonstrate how to create the teacher giraffe. Allow students to then make their own giraffes by painting and gluing. Hang the paper plate giraffes together on the art&craft display board. Ensure each pupil has his/her name on their giraffe paper plate.
