This website gives a history of the Olympic Games. It tells us where they originated, the events that were in the games, information on the spectators, women at the olympics etc.. There is a quiz, fun facts and an interactive game also on this webpage.

Suggestions for use: Use the photos as a starter activity to identify students prior knowledge about the history of the Olympic games. Allow students time to research and present their findings on a poster to the class using the website as a reference guide. Carry out the quiz after the research quiz whereby students can complete quiz in pairs.
