Smartphones and Sustainability Video

Added: 30 Nov 2016 Contributor: Tara Fitzharris Resource type: Audio / Video

This 5.36 minute video shows how smartphones are created and the global impacts that this has. The video explains that raw materials are sourced in the Congo where the money earned is used to fund Civil wars. The phones are manufactured in factories with poor working conditions in China. This is a useful resource for the teaching of ESD for Junior or Senior Cycle students.
