The aim of this lesson is for children to conduct a beach clean to show the benefits of caring for their local environment and ocean, as well as becoming environmentally aware and active. The children will develop a sense of place and space learning about their local seashore. The lesson and survey could easily be adapted to suit a clean up or litter pick in your local community.
