Seashore Safety, Conservation Code and Quiz

Added: 21 Dec 2016 Contributor: Clare Quigley Resource type: Lesson Plan

This lesson is designed for use prior to going on a visit to the seashore but could be adapted for any other natural environment (eg. woodlands, mountains, etc). The children create a poster focusing on safety on the seashore and learn about the conservation code which outlines how they can protect the environment or habitat they are visiting. Through this they will learn to care for their local environment as well as becoming environmentally aware and active. The children will also develop a sense of place and space learning about their local seashore.
