Prizewinning student project from the All-Island History Competition 2017 within the category of Revolution in Ireland. The project explores the forgotten Battle of Pike Bridge and the death of Anthony O'Reilly (past pupil). Research came from local historians, analysing Scoilnet Maps, census archive, Abbey National School Attendance Teacher Report 1911, Millitary Archive, visit to the location of battle, Irish Times archive, the national archive of Ireland and a visit to Anthony O'Reilly's grave.
