Content objective:
This resource should enable a child to:

  • sort and group living things into sets according to observable features
  • use simple keys to identify common species of plants and animals

Suggestions for use: This interactive, multiple choice quiz may be used to assess knowledge, revise a topic or as a means of teaching facts about the animal world. Each question is a link to World Book Online at Scoilnet.ie where further research may be done on the topic. Note that the links will work only if World Book Online is already opened in a tab. This exercise may also be downloaded and used in a virtual learning environment such as Moodle, where each participant's score will be recorded.
