A letter from Hannah Curtis to her brother John in Philadelphia in 1848. Hannah is writing from Co Laois and describes conditions in Ireland due to the potato famine. This letter is part of an American project exploring migration. A year after the letter was written Hannah and her husband also emigrated to America.
