Getting In The Lite curated by christopher

My name is Sean I work for the ESB My job is to go to town and put up poles that give electricity too people in Ireland.

I think explaining it to people is the hardest part of the job. Some people were scared out of their minds. Life was changing in a blink of an eye.

I remember one man about 80 years of age and he hated the idea of poles around his little town giving him electricity he said “I will stick using candles until I DIE”

At first it was strange seeing the bright light glow of the light bulb but after a few days I got use to the changes

ESB made a huge difference to Ireland.
