Dear diary                                                       2/8/1948                     Today mum got a new cooker and it's amazing how much spare time she has! Now she helps with my homework and plays games, dad has lots of new machines to help with the farm and I've been watching how they work so I know how to use them when I grow up!                                                                                           May
