This presentation looks at where a dog sleeps/feels secure. The activity could be carried out in groups or as a game. As an extension activity, students could go online and look up new types of shelter that are not in the presentation. This links with Comm & Literacy - using suitable technologies.
I deliberately did not talk about dog shelters as this area is covered in later strands of this course - Strand - 4:4, 4:6 & 4:7
Strand: Caring for Animals (Level 2)
Strand unit: 2. Caring for Dogs
Suggestions for use: This is a group work activity which can be used at the start or end of a lesson for assessment, or as a spring board to students own research of shelters for dogs.
Key Skills:
Strand: Communicating & Literacy
Strand unit: 6. Using Technology for Range of Purposes
