Can you believe, a resident in the area kept lions in their back garden. I am serious, and my grandad talks about the time he took my aunt to the cinema in Fairview, watched the latest Tarzan movie, and when it was all over, they went to leave the cinema and were warned to stay put, there was a lion on the loose.
Of course my grandad thought this was a joke, that is, until he did leave, and saw there wasn't a soul around on what was normally a busy Saturday afternoon. Having second thoughts, he returned to the cinema, and waited three and half hours until a policeman came and said the lion was dead.
